April showers have brought May flowers and it is now time to photograph them. In this class, we will discuss camera and lens choices, scouting locations, composition, camera settings, and editing of flower and plant photography.

Conklin Con returns for it’s 3rd year! We’re far from strictly a comic con and past years have attracted fans of comics, books, movies, TV, video games and more. Whether you’re a fan, exhibitor, or just curious, come on out – we’ve got you covered!

Conklin Con was established in 2019 to promote the cultural and educational advancement of literary, graphical, musical, and theatrical art forms inspired by science fiction, fantasy, comics, anime, horror, and more.


Learn the basics of portrait photography including using posing, backgrounds, and a variety of light sources to create a stunning portrait. We will work through using natural light, continuous lighting, and strobes to explore how these all work in the world of portrait photography. We will discuss backgrounds and composition for portrait photography. We will also discuss posing and some of the basics of creating a flattering look.

This 60-90 minute class is for everyone who wants to take better portraits from beginner to intermediate photographers and will give the most benefit to users of DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
