Spring is in the air, and we are looking forward to warmer days and are excited to announce we are back with our Sip N Shop Spring Market.

This event, in memory of Gregg Wenzel ’91, will consist of a 5K run/walk around campus. The 5K is open to all. Wenzel was a triathlete and former student-athlete at Binghamton who competed on the men’s varsity swimming and diving team. He was killed in a car accident in July 2003 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he was working as a CIA director of operations. Register online for this event. Race check-in and on-site registration will take place at the West Gym. The run/walk will start and end in front of the Gregg Wenzel Memorial statue on Bearcat Boulevard. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in separate age categories. Race-day registration at the West Gym will start at 7:45 a.m. The entry fee is $10 for students and $20 for all others. Entrants must be 13 years or older.

Be amazed by glassblowing talent or trek a mindfulness journey with soulful meditation and yoga sessions. Stop by the Drink Like a Girl Beer Tent and journey through the NYS Craft Beer scene with 5oz pour offerings. Or, maybe grab a pint and head over to the cornhole tournament… cash prize! Get your Picasso on and show off your artistic skills on Chalk Art Street or share good times with friends at the Jumbo Game Center.

As activities end and the DJ stops spinning, head over to the main stage and dance your heart out! Munchie fixes everywhere throughout the day… stock up on your late-night snacks before you head back to camp. Elevate your camping adventure and upgrade to Elite Glamping!

Flower and Plant Photography

April showers have brought May flowers and it is now time to photograph them. In this class, we will discuss camera and lens choices, scouting locations, composition, camera settings, and editing of flower and plant photography.

This 60-90 minute class is ideal for anyone of any level who wants to improve their flower photography.
