Eve Synder, PhD. is the Project Manager of HistoryForge at The History Center in Tompkins County. She’s going to be discussing the HistoryForge program. HistoryForge (opens in a new tab) is a digital project that uses census records to populate city maps to let you uncover the historical layers of previous generations. The project just received an NEH grant to bring the project to other partner cities, and she’s demonstrating it both for local history enthusiasts who might want to learn more about the process and reaching out to people in the Binghamton area who might be interested in bringing it here.
