Ladies of Laughter® (LOL) is all about providing funny women the opportunity to showcase their unique styles of humor. September 21st’s show features funny women Sara Contreras and Meghan Hanley.

Sara Contreras is a long-time performer in the Ladies of Laughter contest and tour, Sara appeared in Showtime’s 2008 ALMA-nominated (Best Comedy Special) Original Latin Divas of Comedy. Sara also performed for the troops in Iraq as part of the USO tour. She opened for El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, the iconic salsa band, in 2022 for their 60th-anniversary world tour. She was selected as one of the 22 top Comedians to watch in 2022 and #6 in top 12 Latino comedians in 2023. Her hilarious one-woman show, F.R.E.A.K. of Nature is premiering this year.

Ladies of Laughter favorite, Meghan Hanley is a Brooklyn-based, internationally touring stand-up comedian, who has appeared on AXS TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live,” The MSG Network, DreamsTV, Fox’s “Laughs” and “Red Eye.”  In November 2021, Meghan filmed a “Dry Bar” Comedy Special, and in January of 2023, her comedy album, “This Happy,” debuted at number one, for five days straight, on iTunes. Hanley’s quick wit and upbeat persona, have lead to her being featured in several Festivals, and two tours with Armed Forces Entertainment, providing laughter to our Troops overseas. As a writer/presenter, Meghan co-wrote and co-hosted the program for Fordham University’s Inaugural Athletics Gala and Advertising Week NY’s“The Future is Female Awards.” Additionally, Meghan smiles a lot, which some people find suspicious, but mostly endearing
