Path Through History Weekends are a showcase of New York State’s rich and fascinating history and will feature hundreds of events happening at historic and cultural destinations throughout the state. New York’s new Path Through History helps visitors discover, experience and appreciate the state’s amazing past. This effort to highlight our rich heritage aims to not only showcase the state’s history and cultural significance, but also promote tourism and economic development in communities across the State. The Fall PTH weekend falls on Columbus Day weekend (October 12-14, 2019).
Once again Visit Binghamton has partnered with the Broome County Planning Department and local attractions to organize meetings and correspondences to feature our local attractions. We will continue to use the theme of “Sharing our Stories” as a way to showcase the diverse and unique attractions in the community. Local groups planning events to participate in this statewide promotion include: Nanticoke Valley Historical Society, Country Wagon, Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park, TechWorks!, Endicott History and Heritage Center, Cutler Botanic Garden, Roberson Museum and Science Center, Vestal Museum, and the Bundy Museum. Broome County Planning will produce a map to make the visit easier for tourist to enjoy the area and Visit Binghamton will also have the map available on our website – www.VisitBinghamton.org. I Love NY will offer a great deal of promotional support on a statewide basis, driving visitors to different areas around New York. We trust that the quality and diversity of our offerings will drive visitors from outside the area as well as local resident participation. Maps were printed by Broome County and will be available at several local museums, historical attractions and at Visit Binghamton (Five South College Drive, Suite 102, Binghamton. Come and rediscover our rich history and help us share your story!
