Placemaking 101 & 102 Community Workshop

We invite you to join us for a 4-hour workshop with Placemaking Expert, Kady Yellow, as we launch the Chamber’s new Office of Placemaking.
About Kady:
- Kady is a Broome County native and now serves as Senior Director of Placemaking and Events at Downtown Vision Inc., the business improvement district in Jacksonville, FL.
- Kady is know for a highly-specialized “resident-driven” practice. Author of “Murals, Street Art and Graffiti”, Kady both writes and teaches on the subject matter with a focus on civic entrepreneurship and the creative economy.
Workshop Takeaways:
- How to design cities that are catered to people.
- The importance of lively neighborhoods and inviting public spaces.
- Key terms such as power of ten, third place, co-creator, citizen-led, complete streets, activation, transofrmations, zoning and more.
