LUMA Projection Arts Festival

LUMA Projection Arts Festival is America’s premier projection arts festival.

LUMA was founded in 2015 by a street photographer, a film editor and an event planner. Using powerful projectors and 3D animation, we create the illusion that enormous structures are transforming as if by magic. City hall turns into a gingerbread house. The courthouse becomes Stonehenge. The light overpowers the architecture and the effect seems real.

Going to LUMA is like visiting some giant outdoor art gallery where the paintings tower over you 6 stories high. Enjoy it in any order you choose at whatever pace you like. You’ll find projection mapping, light installations, immersive live performance and something new every year.

Far more than just spectacle, LUMA is dedicated to the fine art of storytelling–through projection mapping and many other forms of tech-driven artistry. What experiences can we share by transforming the urban landscape into an animated canvas?

Help us find out.
