The Temptations came to define Detroit’s Motown sound in the ‘60s and ’70s with songs like “My Girl,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” and “Papa Was a Rolling Stone.” Ranked the #1 “Greatest R&B/Hip-Hop Artist of All Time” by Billboard and called “the greatest black vocal group of the Modern Era” by Rolling Stone, the Temptations – still touring with founding member Dr. Otis Williams – have had a tremendous influence on the evolution of American music.

The Four Tops rose out of the same Detroit neighborhoods as peers like the Temptations, the Supremes, and Smokey Robinson, releasing their own string of chart-topping hits for the Motown label including “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” and “It’s The Same Old Song.” The Four Tops continue to tour with founding member Duke Fakir.
